Let's Talk Canine Heat Stress
Summertime fun with our furry friends is a blast, but it's crucial to keep an eye out for signs of heat stress in dogs! Here's what to look for and how to take action:
Big Mouth Alert: Excessive panting and an extra-wide tongue that's cupped at the end could be early signs of heat stress. Keep a close watch on those tongues!
Physical and Mental Check: Observe your pup's movements closely. Is their gait unsteady or stumbling? Are they struggling to follow commands? These could be signs of physical and mental stress caused by overheating.
Spacey Looks: Watch out for glassy eyes paired with signs of physical or mental distress. If your pup looks "spacey," it's a red flag that something serious may be going on.
If you notice any of these warning signs, take immediate action to cool them down. Let's keep our dogs see and comfortable in the summer heat!
